The SilentPower AC iPurifier 2 is a plug-in mains noise filter for audio and AV systems. Its patented Active Noise Cancellation III technology reduces EMI/RFI noise by more than 40dB, while diagnostic LEDs identify polarity and earth issues. Built-in surge protection and a supplementary earth connection bring noise reduction, diagnostics, and protection together in one compact device.
Active Noise Cancellation III detects unwanted interference on the mains line and generates an inverted signal to cancel it. With a specified noise reduction of more than 40dB, the AC iPurifier 2 helps reduce electrical noise that can interfere with audio performance.
The AC iPurifier 2 operates in parallel with your connected equipment. Plug it into a wall socket or power strip serving your system to condition the mains supply without placing a filter directly in your components’ power path. This configuration is designed to preserve system dynamics.
Built-in diagnostic LEDs indicate polarity and earth status, helping you identify potential wiring or grounding issues. They provide a quick visual check of the mains connection—identifying an issue does not correct the underlying wiring.
Built-in surge protection helps shield connected audio and AV equipment from sudden power spikes. The AC iPurifier 2 carries a surge protection rating of 22,000A at 1,000V with an 8/20µs waveform.
A 0.16-inch (4mm) supplementary earth port works with the Groundhog+ kit to help address grounding-related hum and buzz. It adds a grounding option for systems affected by these sources of noise. The Groundhog+ kit is sold separately.
The AC iPurifier 2 plugs directly into a compatible mains socket and supports 90–265V AC operation. The U.S. version measures approximately 5 × 1.57 × 1.57 inches (127 × 40 × 40mm), making it easy to accommodate alongside existing audio equipment.
